"These three plays required such divergent styles of music.  For Madwoman, written during the Nazi occupation of Paris, I composed orchestral music in a distinctly French style and also created my first mazurka, a Polish folk dance referenced in the play.  For Laramie,  the director wanted all the cues to be acoustic guitar, with individual themes for each of the main characters.   Search, which was written for Lily Tomlin, covers such a wide range of people and places that the music was likewise all over the map, from wild sound design all the way to lounge music.  This  background of composing for theater has given me a great foundation for my work in film and media."
